Privacy Policy for LashMuse
Effective date: August 30, 2026
LashMuse (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how LashMuse and the third-party services integrated into the app handle information when you use LashMuse on iPhone or iPad.
1. Overview
LashMuse lets you preview virtual eyelash styles using your camera or photos you choose from your photo library. Photos, camera frames, facial landmarks, and edited images are processed on your device for the core app experience.
LashMuse is supported by rewarded advertising provided through Google AdMob. Some eligible users, including certain existing paid or Pro users, may receive an ad-free experience based on their verified Apple purchase or app entitlement.
2. Photos, Camera Content, and Facial Data
We do not collect, upload, store, or transmit your photos, camera frames, facial landmark data, or edited images to our servers as part of the core app experience.
Facial landmark processing
- No biometric identification: Facial landmark analysis is used only to position virtual eyelashes and is not used to identify you.
- On-device processing: Facial data and image analysis are performed locally on your device.
- Transient use: Facial landmark data is processed in volatile memory during the active session and is not saved to permanent storage by LashMuse.
We do not sell your photos, camera content, facial data, or edited images.
3. Camera and Photo Access
LashMuse may request permission to:
- access your camera for live eyelash preview;
- access photos you choose from your photo library; and
- save edited images to your photo library when you tap Save.
These permissions are used to provide the app’s features on your device. You can change camera and photo permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app.
4. Rewarded Advertising
LashMuse may offer optional rewarded video ads through Google AdMob. If you choose to watch a rewarded ad, Google and its advertising partners may process information needed to request, deliver, measure, secure, and improve the ad.
The availability of ads may vary based on your region, privacy choices, ad availability, and whether your account or app transaction qualifies for an ad-free entitlement. Ad-free users may not be shown ads, but this policy describes data practices that may occur in any version or user experience of the app.
5. Advertising, Analytics, and Diagnostic Data
The Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect or process the following categories of data. The exact data used can depend on your device settings, region, consent choices, SDK configuration, and whether an ad is requested or shown.
| Data Type | Purposes | Linked to You or Your Device |
|---|---|---|
| Coarse Location | Third-Party Advertising; Analytics | Yes |
| Device ID | Third-Party Advertising; Analytics | Yes |
| Product Interaction | Third-Party Advertising; Analytics | Yes |
| Advertising Data | Third-Party Advertising; Analytics | Yes |
| Crash Data | App Functionality; Analytics | No |
| Performance Data | App Functionality; Analytics; Third-Party Advertising | Yes |
Coarse location may be estimated from an IP address. Device identifiers may include the advertising identifier, when permitted, or other app- or developer-scoped identifiers. Product interaction data may include app launches, taps, and video views. Advertising data may include ads viewed. Diagnostic data may include crash logs, app launch time, hang rate, and energy usage.
The categories above are intended to match LashMuse’s App Store privacy disclosure for the version that includes Google AdMob. Google may update its SDK and data practices, so the data processed may change when the SDK is updated.
6. Consent, Personalized Ads, and Tracking
LashMuse uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request or manage advertising privacy choices where required. Depending on your region, device settings, consent, and Apple’s App Tracking Transparency permission, ads may be personalized, non-personalized, limited, or based only on technical ad-delivery requirements.
If App Tracking Transparency permission is not granted, the Google Mobile Ads SDK does not send Apple’s advertising identifier (IDFA) in the ad request. Other information, such as IP address, app- or developer-scoped identifiers, interactions, and diagnostic data, may still be processed as described above.
Where a privacy options entry point is available in LashMuse, you may use it to review or change your consent choices. You can also manage tracking permission in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Changing a choice does not affect processing that was lawfully completed before the change.
7. Sharing and Saving Images
If you choose to share an edited image, LashMuse passes the image to Apple’s system share sheet and the app or service you select. Any third-party app or service you choose is governed by that third party’s own privacy policy.
If you choose to save an edited image, the image is saved to your photo library on your device and remains there until you delete it.
8. Existing Paid or Pro Users
LashMuse may verify an existing paid purchase, Pro purchase, original app transaction, or other Apple entitlement to determine whether you qualify for an ad-free experience. Apple processes the transaction and provides the app with limited transaction or entitlement information. We do not receive or store your full payment card information.
Eligible users may be exempt from rewarded ads. Because privacy disclosures must cover all versions and user groups, the advertising-related disclosures in this policy still apply to LashMuse as a whole.
9. Third-Party Services
LashMuse uses the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform: for rewarded ads, advertising measurement, fraud prevention, analytics, diagnostics, and privacy choices. See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
- Apple frameworks and services: for camera and photo permissions, the system share sheet, and purchase or entitlement verification. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
10. Data Retention
We do not retain your photos, camera frames, facial landmark data, or edited images on our servers. Images you save remain in your photo library until you delete them.
Advertising, analytics, consent, and diagnostic information processed by Google or Apple is retained according to those providers’ policies and applicable law. Some consent or entitlement information may be stored locally on your device so LashMuse can remember your choices or ad-free eligibility.
11. Children’s Privacy
LashMuse is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through LashMuse, please contact us.
12. Your Privacy Choices
- Manage camera, photo, and tracking permissions in the iOS Settings app.
- Use the in-app privacy options entry point, when displayed or required, to review available advertising choices.
- Choose not to start an optional rewarded ad.
- Delete saved images from your photo library at any time.
- Contact us with questions about LashMuse’s privacy practices.
13. International Processing
Google, Apple, and their service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies and applicable data protection laws.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Effective date” at the top of this page.
